Deviasew [dɛviˈasɛw], later Deviäs'w [dɛviˈasu], is an a postiori artlang developed by Jonathan North Washington in 1997 and abandoned in 2000. It has been used for a translation of the Babel Text.
Uniqueness
Deviasew was designed with a fictional world (Câlnima [kælˈnima] = "Land") in mind, but this was never fleshed out before the language was abandoned. Deviasew has a Latinate grammar, with a vocabulary inspired by Hebrew, English, French and Spanish. The name Deviasew itself is the plural of Devia (cf. Hebrew devar, "word").

Notes
- Ka means Babel. From verb "ken" = "to confound, destroy" and sometimes "confuse" (t.v.).
