Espanzë was developed by Jonathan North Washington from early 1998 to early 2000 as an IAL for a futuristic Europe. It was inspired mainly by French and Spanish, but was intended mainly to be a Romance-based IAL inspired by a mixing of Romance-language-speaking peoples.
