Communes
- The Liwadis build their villages (yiʻup) beside watercourses so that there is always a supply of fresh water. These villages may be on one side only or on both sides of a watercourse.
- The Liwadis build two- or three-room houses (rutiń) of whatever material is available locally, usually logs (yinur) or clay (yolap). The roofs (bobat) are always of thatch (noney). The houses are windowless.
