Adin

Adin is a conlang about which very little is known. It was created by Nathaniel Knight prior to or during 2002, and was used to translate the Babel Text.

Grammar of Adin

What little is known about the language's grammar has been taken from a single mailing-list post from 2002, in which the creator said:

"My conlang, Adin, conjugates almost every form of the verb, imperative included. To make an imperative form in Adin, you take the Basic Form of the Verb and add "-[e]nd", this making the general equivalent of "must" or "have to".

1) Ji tolend. He deceive-must.

To get the equivalent of the second one could use the imperative of "to be", or use the "-endoi" suffix. Thus you could have:

2a) Ji toletol anend. He deceiving be-must.

2b) Ji toletolendoi. He deceiving-surely-is. "

However, this snippet probably refers to an earlier form of the language.
