Extramarital sex (puusm̃e̋da ȝe̋va)

  • Extramarital sex is not condoned by any of the procreating peoples (żoonte̋utu). However, it is considered a sin and not a crime. Should it occur, either by rape (feðȝe̋va), adultery (mı̋ndɛra) or fornication (alm̃e̋daþa ȝe̋va), the aggrieved party (de̋haþu) may seek legal separation from bed. The guilty party (ősu) continues to be responsible for the maintenance of the aggrieved party (v. Chapter 10 and Chapter 4 for punishments).

Incest (paasȝe̋va)

  • Incest is defined as sexual activity between any two people who have the same great-great-grandparents. This virtually forbids it in any single community, since the communities are comprised of close family members.

Homosexuality (somȝe̋vta)

  • The homosexual lifestyle is not known among the procreating peoples. It is assumed that every person will marry so, if a person considers himself or herself to be homosexual and does not want to marry, he or she has no option but to enter a caravansary (saaþda̋ro) and devote himself or herself to a life of prayer and of helping others. It is not necessary for this person to reveal his or her sexual preference to the other caravansary inhabitants.
  • The solitary lifestyle is also an option, but few would choose to live alone in the wilderness of Sefdaania.
