Hi, I am Gregory, and I am a novice recreational conlanger! I was uber excited when I found this website. I have been developing (or at least attempting to develop) my own language: Hoibahoina. It's pretty cool; it has a eastern style syllable system of writing and an extremely root-based lexicon. I've run into road blocks recently with trying to keep a lexicon and manual. I've had the most trouble in trying to establish the writing system. I have a few different drafts of the language, but what I really need is to define it on a keyboard. However this has been quite a trick seeing how the writing system is fairly complex. It's very logical, but it has some pitfalls that my almost non-existent programming skills have not been able to surpass.

Anyways, I am currently 17 and in high school. It's funny that I have time to invent a language because I really don't. Between 3 AP classes, other classes, band, choir, theatre, homework and more theatre, this is a kind of time-filling hobby for before bed and whenever I can. I have used prototypes of hoibahoina in school projects for creativity and aesthetic aspects, and I would never want to compromise the beauty of the writing system for programming. That's why I am so excited to have found this website. Just browsing I have a new hope for my language!
