Hoð‘i is one of the languages belonging to Alri language family. It belongs to the branch, named Foħθīri languages and it stems directly from Foħθīrix language. It has an alphabetical script.
Typological structure
Hoð‘i is a morphologically fusive language, with some agglutinative features.
The basic word order is essentially SVO (Subject-Verb-Object).
ek‘ ðiɣ imo mɛð‘i ek‘ nyɣ the person is seeing the cow
The entire system is set according to typological parameters of the head-modifier (or head-initial) type:
