Dark Breed (FIM)

The Dark Breed is a race emerged from the experiments of a FIM into bacteria survival.

Background

The experiment was to starve normal bacteria, while keeping it alive through different means, in order to make them more resilient. The experiment went better than expected, but when it was decided to be shut down (by starvation, ironically), the new breed did what it knew to do: kept eating. Lacking physical matter and uncapable to turn vacuum into food, it began to eat through the very space and time of its surrounding, quickly escaping the quaranteen into more "tasty" places.

As the threat became too big to contain even with the power of the FIM, the Sayans were called. This lead to an all-out war, with the Dark Breed having the advantage of guerilla tactics. After long and, albeit not bloody but full of victims war, the Sayans came close to wiping out the Breed. Members of the collective, seeing that although there is more food than they could eat, yet they are not allowed, and thinking of the primordial fear of finding themselves in their primordial state of once again remaining without food, decided to risk their race's existence on a gamble: they went to a Sayan and surrendered their lives to his and his race's forever service, in return for their survival. The history of these events have been left in the blur of time, but the Sayan reluctantly agreed after the Breed helped him survive his own matters.

The Sayan took this now reformed race to his Prince, Vegeta, and vouched for it, while the race vouched to completely and forever serve the sayans, to stay in containers at all times unless called upon and to not consume unless under the risk of death as sentient beings (which implied they needed very little matter to eat, while keeping their ability to absorb and eat large quantities of matter, energy and existence at will). Thus began the alliance between the Sayans and the Dark Breed.
