Dʰakʰi is the proto-language of the Axi language family. Dʰakʰi language gives rise to three different languages. Dʰakʰi is supposedly spoken in the preclassical and classical period, it is only a spoken language and has no script of any kind.
Typological structure
Dʰakʰi is a morphologically agglutinative language, with an exclusive tendency to morpheme prefixation.
The basic word order is essentially SOV (Subject-Object-Verb).
noːbʰa gʰemuː məgʰəkuːska (the) person sees (the) cow
The entire system is set according to typological parameters of the modifier-head (or head-final) type:
- object - verb
- noun - postposition
- adjective - noun
- relative clause - noun
