Smooth English

The Merchant Falls

Many jears ago, a merchant was busy preparing to travel. He loaded a basket and a stove into a boat, he brought the boat to the bank of the river. Nearby a boy was walking with his dog. The boy was hungry, he wanted to find food. He tied the dog to a tree, although his father and mother had told him not to, and went into the house. Then the merchant came. He wanted to tie up the boat. The rope was too short. He saw the boy's rope by the tree. The rope was long enough to reach the boat. The merchant untied the dog, which yelped and chased the merchant, who panicked. The merchant fell into the boat, the boat went and hit the rocks, and was destroyed.
