Antediluvian world

An antediluvian world is a conworld that portrays a fictional part of our world before the Biblical deluge or some other kind of global cataclysm that erased the old cultures and transformed the world into the world known to us. The two most famous fantasy worlds, J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth and Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age, are antediluvian worlds. Another example is the world of the Elric cycle by Michael Moorcock.
