Consonants

14 consonants, including t,k,b,d,l,ŋ

At least one uvular continuant and one lateral obstruent.

No voicing contrast in fricatives.

No glottalized consonants.

(The existence of ŋ seems to imply m and n)

Vowels

Suprasegmentals

Primary stress falls on the second syllable, and secondary stress follows an iambic pattern.

Neither tone nor nasalization contrast.

Phonotactics

Syllable structure is moderately complex. The maximal syllable is either CVC, CCV, or CCVC

ŋ may occur initially.
