Kala writing/tloko

  • The tloko script is logosyllabic combining about X logograms (which represent whole words) and 150 syllabograms (which represent syllables). About 300 glyphs were commonly used.

  • The script is usually written vertical columns reading from top to bottom and then left to right.

  • Each consonant has three forms. The form used depends on the the vowel added to form the syllable glyph.
