I'm Doug Ball.

My principle conlanging activity over the years has been (and is) Skerre, which you can learn about here. In the early days of Skerre, the language was used for a play, which is detailed here. I also presented about Skerre and the art of conlanging in at the 2000 University of Rochester Undergraduate Research and Creativity conference (my remarks are preserved here) and I presented a talk at LCC1.

In real life, I am a professor of linguistics. After completing my dissertation at Stanford in 2009, I have been at Truman State University (in Kirksville, Missouri). While there, I've been known to teach courses entitled Intro to Linguistics, the Linguistics of Native American Languages, the Linguistics of Polynesian Languages, and advanced undergraduate courses in Phonetics/Phonology, Morphology, and Syntax.
