Western civilisation (Ilethes)

In the world of Ilethes, Western civilisation refers to human civilisation in the west of the planet, according to the Gathenic depiction, that have been to a greater or lesser degree influenced by the Areth civilisation. It stands in contrast to Eastern civilisation, which refers to civilisation in the east, influenced by the dominant cultures of the Karyāba and the Nosphera. The two cultures overlap in northern Marcasia, where the Nosphera were first predominant but later declined and were subsumed by the Karyāba; the area then came under Areth influence in later years.
