Mirselec Literature has had a long history of more than 2,200 years, from the first extant fragments of poems and other works recorded by writers in the 2nd and 3rd century DN (most prominently in the Harmur ta Furasa).

Ancient and Classical Works

The bulk of surviving poetry from ancient and classical times in the Mirselec language can be traced to several compilations, or furasa, often works undertaken by court officials commissioned by the royal court of respective kingdoms; many of these works were in turn incorporated into the Sayenfurasa.
