Catralian, natively Cātralus, was the primary language of the Cātran Empire. Hailing from the southwest of Sandula, the ancestor of Catralian is little understood (if I'm being honest, it doesn't exist). Catralian had very regular morphological patterns and syntax that was very loose. Catralian's descendants are among the most spoken languages in modern Sandula.

Phonology

The phonology of Catralian was relatively small compared to its neighbor Kalersan. It's most distinctive feature are the geminate consonants /pː/ /tː/ /kː/ and /sː/. It also features long vowels in every place.

Allophony

Catralian exhibited allophonic nasal vowels at the end of words. This sound change is found in most of the Central Catran languages, excluding Northern Lučeis. /s/ following long vowels changed to /h/. /k(ː)/ shifted to /ʧ(ː)/ before front vowels, as did /g/ to /ʤ/. /n/ before velars shifted to /ŋ/.
