  • 9. "I will certainly go with you," she replied, "but you will not gain glory for the expedition on which you are setting out, for it is into a woman's power that the LORD is going to sell Sisera." So Deborah joined Barak and journeyed with him to Kedesh.

  • 21. Instead Jael, wife of Heber, got a tent peg and took a mallet in her hand. While Sisera was sound asleep, she stealthily approached him and drove the peg through his temple down into the ground, so that he perished in death.
  • And took Jael the wife of Heber a peg of the tent, and placed a hammer in her hand, and went to him in secrecy and drove the peg into his temple; and she beat (it) into the ground; and he had been fast asleep and faint; and he died.

  • 23. Thus on that day God humbled the Canaanite king, Jabin, before the Israelites.
