Pannonian is a Romance language spoken by about 40,000 people in the country of Pannonia, which borders Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. Along with Pannonian Slavic, it is one of the two official languages of Pannonia. It is descended from the Vulgar Latin language spoken in the historical province of Pannonia and is often grouped with Noric as a part of the Norico-Pannonian language group.
