Smooth English
A Rude Goat
A beautiful woman rode on a horse along a bridge.
A goat made her stop.
The goat said: "O woman! You are very beautiful! I like you! You should be my wife!"
The woman laughed: "I should be your wife? You don't even know my name."
The goat asked: "Your name? I did not ask about your name. Rather, I said that you should be my wife. What is your reply?"
The woman said: "I say this in reply!"
The woman cut the goat's head from its body. On the shore of the river, the goat's head said:
"So does that mean you say to me... yes?"
Hints
-Grammar: --Pronouns: Subject pronouns: Ba - it (also ‘the’) Posessive pronouns: me - my ba - its lēé - your, fml. pé - your, informal. Genitive pronouns: fian - to me atian - to her --Verbs: Verbs are conjugated by adding a pronoun marker and tense marker (if the verb is other than present tense) to the verb. To save you time, I’ll only list the ones used here. Example verb: kaja (to thank) Present: bakaja - it thanks akaja- she thanks lēékaja - you (fml.) thank Past: baxkaja - it thanked axkaja - she thanked Command / Suggestion: Otekaja- let me thank / I should thank Obakaja - let it thank / it should thank Otakaja - let her thank / she should thank --Other stuff: ---Possession: A note about possession: when one noun is possessing another and no pronoun is used for either of them, then it’s understood that the second noun in the sequence owns the first. Brîl ba ame - (‘goat the woman’) = the woman’s goat.
