This page will be a broad explanation of the philosophy behind Kala and how it influences the language.

Unifying Principal

The basic idea of Kala thought (toya) is the Unifying Principal (umoto), the oneness of the universe, which unifies everything from bugs to baskets, from trees to terrors. The umoto underlies both mental and physical, the continuum of morality, and the search for enlightenment.

Basic Precepts

  • Accept the world as you find it.
  • Think carefully of the world before yourself.
  • Seek simplicity and to be unencumbered.
  • Seek understand of self through nature.
