Arkhæn [ɑr.keɪ.n] is a constructed language. It is spoken by the nation of Arkhæo. The Language contains 27 letters; 6 vowels, 20 consonants, a ligature and a diacretic.- THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

¹letter "A" can also sound like /æ/ like in(trap, pad shall, ban) or /ə/ in it's lax form

²Letter "A" with a circumflex (Â) denotes that the sound is changed to /ɒ/, the circumflexed "A" always occurs before a nasal consonant(n, m) and stops (p,b,t,d,k,g) unless there is an "h" after the consonant.

³Letter "I" can also sound like /iː/ in victory

⁴Letter "U" can also sound like /ʌ/ in strut, but only if it is before a nasal consonant.

Arkæo sometimes has the same diphthongs for for different variations of spelling.

  • for the /eɪ/ sound: <æ, and ei>
  • for the /aɪ/ sound: < ai and æy>
  • for the /ʃ/ sound: <sh and ch>

  • /juː/<Iu> (e.g. Iumega: juːmɛgə/you-Mega)
  • /jɑː/<Ia> (e.g. Iatos: jɑːtoʊs/ya-tos)
  • /jɪ/<Ii>
  • /i/<Ie> (e.g. Cieran: sirɒn/seer-an)

Ii can also sound like /iː/ only if it is not at the beggining of a word.
