e: as in the Welsh; as in where

i: as in the "y" sound in why

o (long): as in born

o (short): as in lottery

Dipthongs:

au: as in the German dipthong; restaurant.

oi: as in the French dipthong; "wa" sound in walk.

ais: as in the French dipthong; "ea" sound in bread (but longer).
