Probably the most notable sound change was the the K /k/ in the middle or end of words in Laefevian became CH /χ/ in Gelog just like what happened in the High German Consonant Shift. Many of the sound shifts from Old Low German and Old Dutch dialects to the Old High German dialects are present in Gelog shifting away from Old Laefevian and Proto-Enkean.
