| Um, basics... SVO word order, lack of most case except on pronouns (although perhaps a genitive), marks definite / indefinite with article, marks plural with -s suffix, would be interesting if Arabic dual survived, verb conjugates for tense, person and number but not mood or aspect (probably a lack of any real mood other than declarative and a sort of imperative), auxiliary verbs for aspect. Irregular verbs: to be, to go (...) both locative and stative "be" verbs, 2 grammatical genders correlating to their forms in Arabic and Spanish with adjectival agreement for number and gender, adjectives + adverbs follow the noun or verb, demonstratives maybe relating to the three in Spanish...
