Breathanach is a constructed language, or newly invented language, with Gaelic and Latin influences.
Like Brithenig, Breathanach is an altlang focusing on the hypothetical development of the Romance languages, and like Brithenig it is set in the United Kingdom, in the territory of the Celtic languages. However, while Brithenig is based on the Brythonic branch of Celtic, Breathanach replicates the phonological evolution that occurred in the Goidelic languages.
