Proto Ralanian (pronounced /rɶlæ:nijɐn/ in English and /ɾalma:ni/ in Ralanian) is a Fictional Language that was once spoken by the Ralanian Islanders. It is still under development by its developer, User:Mhmdyasr.

Introduction:

This language was created to support a film and a book that's under development. It's spoken by a Fictional race of people, who are rich (economically) in a Pre-medieval environment. The language has its script and root system as well. The language is a Boustrophedon and the script starts from the right-hand side. Larger numbers are grouped in twos when pronouncing (eg. 10235: Ten Twenty-three Five).

Phonetic Inventory:

Consonants: m n ɳ p d ʈ k ʔ d̠ʒ s z ʃ f x h l j ɾ
Vowels: i ɯ u ɪ e o ɜ ɔ æ a

Syllable Structure:

Clustered syllables are rare in Ralanian. Clusters are only allowed in the following ways:

> Nasal+Nasal.

> Nasal+Plosive.

> Nasal+Fricative.

> Plosive+Fricative.

> Fricative+Approximant.

> Approx+any(exceptions: Approx/tap)

A syllable can end with any vowel or a few consonants (n, ʈ, ɾ, m, j and its variants). Stress is given to the second-last syllable and the maximum syllable structure is (V)C(C)E.
