The milhaf are a collective term for two, closely-related, species, descended from feathered bat-like marsupials. The two species are known as simply Northerners and Southerners, from their original geographic distribution. Their name is derived from the phrase "Our Kind" in one of their languages, Classical Kasshian, as it exists in its descendant Ivetsian. Their planet is known as Galhaf, "Our World" in the same language.
