Adjectives have the form CVCV. The second vowel can be a diphthong.

Antonyms

Many adjectives come in opposite pairs. For example;-

beautiful haue ugly aiho
big jutu small tiji
hot fema cold pona
fast saco slow gade

Each of these pairs have a specific relationship to each other. Each consonant is reflected about "l" and each vowel is reflected about "a".

Alphabetical orders are ;-

@, m, y, j, f, b, g, d, l, c, s, k, p, t, w, n, h

and ..... au, o, oi, i, ia, a, ua, u, eu, e, ai

Not all adjectives come in such pairs. For example for duke meaning "ill", there is no corresponding adjective *cibo for "healthy".

By the way - further alphabetical orders are;- /b, by, bl, bw/ and /b, zb, lb, mb/

Inflection of adjectives

Adjectives receive a siffix to shoe thw comparative and the superlative degree.

hot fema hotter feman hottest femas
fast saco faster sacon fastest sacos

Adjective made into verbs

Adjectives can be made into verbs by infixes.

big jutu to expand justu to increase jultu
hot fema to heat up fezma to become hot felma
fast saco to accelerate saco to accelerate salco
