World of Light

The World of Light is a con-universe created by Cheyne Anderson.

Astrography

The World of Light universe contains three major objects: The Light, the Dark, and a single planet. Unlike our universe, the Law of Conservation of Mass-Energy is not nessecerily conserved in the World of Light. All energy (and by extension, mass) is created by the Light and consumed by the Darkness. Both the Light and Darkness are capable of distorting space and time by small amounts around them.

The Light

The Light sits in the center of the World of Light universe. The Light is a source of continuous energy input. Energy emits from it in all directions. Occasionally, especially large amounts of energy are emited and traval across the system resembling stars from the view of the planet.

Symbolism

A great deal of symbolism is associated with the Light. This symbolism occurs not only in the World of Light itself, but within the story as well. Here is a list of associations with the Light:

The Darkness

The Darkness surrounds the Light in a ring, engulfing all the energy it emits. It serves as a continuous source of energy output.

Symbolism

The Darkness has a great deal of symbolism surrounding it as well. Here is a list of associations with the Darkness

• Conjunction
• Unity

†These associations may seem counter-intuitive. Light represents chaos in that the properties of the energy it exerts remain unknown until it is emitted. Energy entering the Darkness can be understood and all reaches the same fate, thus representing order and unity.
