The Western Islands Department (Mirselec Karasurna Alzer) is one of the three island departments of Risevne, covering all islands under Risevan control west of the Risevan Home Islands. This unit comprises several components:
- The Suimar Archipelago, with more than 600 islands
- The Natin Islands, with 63 islands and
- The Bormese Islands, with 88 small islands.
The capital of the department is in the town of Nizo, which is on the main Suimar island of Bininumo.
