North Albic is one of the three main branches of the Albic language family.  The only North Albic language surviving into modern times is Caledonian, but the poorly attested extinct Alfheimic language probably belongs here as well.
North Albic is one of the four main branches of the Albic language family.  The only North Albic language surviving into modern times is Arwinish.

The most characteristic linguistic feature of North Albic is the merger of the Proto-Albic voiced stops with the Proto-Albic neutral stops; thus, there is no longer a voicing opposition in stops (nor anywhere else in the phonology), only an opposition of aspiration.
