A constructed script, abbreviated as con-script or conscript, is an artificial writing system. Conscripts are sometimes known as neographies, though "neography" can also refer to an alternate method of writing an already-existing language in its own script (See Tawyr Oorthaagryfii).

Conscripts are usually created for use with a conlang, although there are conscripts for existing natlangs.
