Hi, I'm Pá mamūnám ontā́ bán, I'm currently studying French, Russian and Czech at university, I do have knowledge of other languages, primarily Portuguese. My native language is English.

Currently my favourite foreign word is "tuku" which is Quechua for "owl".

The French phrase "poudre de perlimpinpin" comes a close second, this idiom translates as "snake oil", i.e. an unproven and questionable remedy.

I'm also fond of the Russian word "почемука". The word is the diminutive form of "почему" ("why") and is used to mean someone who asks an excessive amount of questions.

The German word "Handschuhschneeballwerfer", I believe literally means "one who wears gloves to throw snowballs" ("hand-shoe(glove)-snow-ball-thrower"), is used to mean "coward" and is quite cool too.

My favourite English word is "verisimilitude".
