Adjectives have the form CVCV. The second vowel can be a diphthong.
Antonyms
Many adjectives come in opposite pairs. For example;-
beautiful | haue | ugly | aiho |
big | jutu | small | tiji |
hot | fema | cold | pona |
fast | saco | slow | gade |
Each of these pairs have a specific relationship to each other. Each consonant is reflected about "l" and each vowel is reflected about "a".
Alphabetical orders are ;-
@, m, y, j, f, b, g, d, l, c, s, k, p, t, w, n, h
and ..... au, o, oi, i, ia, a, ua, u, eu, e, ai
Not all adjectives come in such pairs. For example mutu means "important", the corresponding antonym is derived. umutu means "unimportant".
By the way - further alphabetical orders are;- /b, by, bl, bw/ and /b, zb, lb, mb/

Adjective made into verbs
big | jutu |
bigger | jutus |
biggest | jutustu |
to expand | bwa jutus |
to increase | ba jutus |
bwa is the verb "become" and ba is the verb "do".
These verbal expressions are nominalized by swapping the position of the elements and stickig them together. For example;-
the expansion = jutusba the increase = jutusba
In the nominalised form the difference between the active and passive disappears (what phonological term ??)
The above nominal is actually pronounced ... jutuzba

For antonyms, the "positive" member of a pair is used as a noun of state. The noun is formed by adding n.
