Hinegaes remis, literally meaning "Eastern Boundary" in Mirselec, is an area in the Risevan capital of Isana, situated along the border of the city with Feladmena Province. It is the newest district of the city, having been split from parts of Garnoye remis and Waranyebara remis in 1968.
Modern day Hinegaes is a major transportation hub, being where Isana's main expressways link with the national highways, as well as a green belt between the city to the west and the province to the east; as such it is one of the less built up and more rural areas of the city, dominated mostly by low-rise estates. Formerly an agricultural area not even considered to be part of the city, it underwent industrialisation during the early 20th century, absorbing the eastward movement of industry. Nowadays its south half is one of the remaining industrial zones of Isana, though it is also considered part of the green belt and is the focus of extensive efforts to make the area green.
Site and Situation
Stretching in a belt on the east of the city, Hinegaes is relatively less built up, not unlike the Karagoset remis; it also has a reputation as being a relatively affluent area, especially its eastern parts.
