Macaronesian is a South Albic language, a descendant of Old Albic, spoken in Macaronesia.
Despite the far-reaching sound changes which the language has undergone (among other things, resulting in a tone system), Macaronesian is very conservative in its morphology. For example, it is the only modern Albic language that has fully preserved (and even expanded) the original case system.
