Organization and Structure

Rejimento de Tera

  • "La Soldatos" (The Soldiers)
    • La Xeferia (The Headquarters squadron), located in Porto Baia.
      • La Batalion Prima (First Battalion) is Vasca's infantry (de pede) unit, and has primary responsibility for the territorial defense of the country. It is divided into three rifle squadrons, a support squadron and a headquarters squadron.
      • The Second Battalion consists of La Garda Reial (royal guard) and is headquartered in Porto Baia in the Caserna Grande (grand barracks).
      • The Third Battalion consists of the La Cavalores (cavalry).
      • The Fourth Battalion consists of the La Canonores (artillery).

Rejimento de Aira

  • "La Alores" (The Wing-men)
    • The aerial component of the current Vascan military. The Forte de Aira has responsibility for the security of Vascan airspace, conducts maritime patrol and Search and Rescue duties, and provides military assistance to other government departments of Vasca.
      • The Medicistes (medical personnel) serve throughout the Armada under the command of the Forte de Aira.
      • The Musicistes (musicians) serve as a ceremonial unit under the command of the Forte de Aira. They often accompany Prince Frederico and other government officials during official events.

Rejimento de Mar (La Marina)

  • "La Marinores" (The Sailors)
    • The navy of the Armada de Vasca is the naval component of the current Vascan military. The Marina has responsibility for the security of Vascan territorial waters, maritime surveillance and law enforcement, as well as search and rescue. It is based at Capo Arena in Ordina. It currently operates 11 patrol vessels and 7 other boats.
      • The Lojisticistes (logistical unit) serves under the command of the Marina, as most military facilities throughout the nation are accessible by sea.
      • The Spadores ("swordsmen"), a special forces squadron which serves under the command of the Marina.

Uniform and insignia

The service uniform of the Vascan army is olive drab, the dress uniform is grey; for formal occasions a white uniform may be worn. The air force and navy uniforms are identical, with the addition of wings or anchor, respectively, worn on the right jacket breast; gold for officers and silver for enlisted personnel. Branches of service are identified by beret colors. Insignia of rank are worn on the sleeve (for enlisted), and epaulet (for officers) of the dress uniform, and on the chest-tab of the field uniform (black on an olive drab field). Regimental affiliation is indicated by patches or insignia of the county or city in which a unit is located. These devices are worn on the beret, or for marinores, on the left jacket/blouse breast.

Branch of service and unit affiliation

Branch of service is indicated by the color of bereta (beret) worn, as is customary in most modern armed forces.
