Ape is a language which was created by Edgar Rice Burroughs in 1912. It is a fictional language, used for the gorillas and apes with whom Tarzan interacts during his time in the jungle. The name of the language to its speakers is Mangani, which is the in-lang demonym of the apes which speak it. Mangani means " great ape ". It is an a-priori language whose grammar has not been entirely decoded as of yet.

Several documents exist online which outline the known parts of grammar of the language and which list the words of the language. a few of these are provided below.
